December 23,1917:
Today is christmas and my husband got home saftly from the war.
now we can have a happy christmas with our 2 kids.
December 31,1917:
Today is the worst day so far Difranco had to leave at 5 a.m to head back to the war.
Now me and the kids have sitting at hame wondering if he is okay.
January 12,1918:
I arived at the clinic to help out all the hurt soliders.
I took 15 bullets out of 16 people.
One guy had died because he had gotten shot in his head all the other nurses
tried to help the soldier we tried to take the bullet outta his head but he died.
Febuary 12,1918:
today my husband died at 7 a.m.
Febuary 29,1918:
Dealing with Difranco's death is hard.
The kids can't get over the fact that he wont be coming home.
March 5,1918:
today i helped 22 men at the clinic.
2 of them were really sick.
April 19,1918:
today would be Difranco's 45 birthday.
May 15,1918
today was a good day a the clinic. only 4 guys came in with bullets in them.
One guy alomst died but me and some of the other nuses saved his life.
